| Matthew joined Jorgensen, Brownell & Pepin, P.C, in order to continue his criminal practice and expand his practice into the civil arena. Matthew's practice in criminal defense has included a wide variety of criminal conduct and traffic matters, with potential penalties ranging from small fines to life imprisonment. Matthew's civil practice has encompassed construction defects, real estate issues, evictions, personal injuries, contract disputes, protection orders, allocations of parental responsibility, and dependency and neglect actions.
During law school, Matthew clerked for the litigation section of the City of Cleveland Department of Law. Additionally, Matthew worked for United Agri Products, lnc., as an intern to the Tax Department. Matthew also interned for Judge Robbins in a criminal division of the Denver District Court. After law school, Matthew prosecuted municipal ordinance violations as an intern to the Prosecution and Code Enforcement section of the Denver City Attorney's Office until he accepted a position as a Deputy District Attorney for the 13th Judicial District.
Matthew is licensed to practice law before all Colorado State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Matthews's goal is to educate his clients and ensure that they receive the best possible results. Matthew works hard to inform his clients in what to expect at each stage of the process and avoid unwelcome surprises. To achieve this goal, Matthew gives each client the time and attention they need, while aggressively defending their rights. Matthew brings a combination of inventiveness, persistence, and genuine friendliness to his practice. Add his reputation for professionalism and integrity, and it's easy to see how Matthew continues to earn the respect of prosecutors and other attorneys across the state. Experience has shown that Matthew's professional approach can streamline a case—allowing the client to achieve more beneficial results. | | | | | Bar Admissions
