Matthew joined Jorgensen, Motycka & Lewis, P.C., in order to continue his criminal practice and expand his practice into the civil arena. Matthew's practice in criminal defense has included a wide variety of criminal conduct and traffic matters, including felonies, misdemeanors and all levels of operating while intoxicated charges. Matthew's practice includes an array of subject matters, including: criminal, civil defense, construction defects, negligence, contract disputes, and evictions. Matthews's goal is to educate his clients and ensure they receive the best possible results. Matthew works hard to inform his clients in what to expect at each stage of the process and avoid unwelcome surprises. To achieve this goal, he gives each client the time and attention they need, while aggressively defending their rights. In 2002, Matthew earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin in Philosophy and Political Science. As an undergraduate student, Matthew clerked for a local law firm and made the Dean's Honor List. In 2007, Matthew earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. As a first year law student, Matthew clerked for the City of Cleveland Department of Law. After his second year of law school, Matthew worked for United Agri Products, Inc., as an intern to the Tax Department. During his third year of law school, Matthew interned for Judge Robbins in the Denver District Court. After taking the Colorado Bar Examination, Matthew interned for the Prosecution and Code Enforcement section of the Denver City Attorney's Office until he accepted a position as a Deputy District Attorney for the 13th Judicial District. Since joining Jorgensen, Motycka, & Lewis, P.C., in 2008, Matthew has focused his practice on all aspects of criminal defense and civil litigation. Matthew is licensed to practice law before all Colorado State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
